Realtors: What Google Screened Means for You
Updated: Sep 14, 2020
As anyone with a business is surely aware of, Google is always finding new and creative ways to make money from Ad revenue. In their latest push, Google Screened has come to life. This is a new means of verification, much like Google Trusted Partners and other similar programs. With this program, according to Google, all business employees must pass specified background checks, and licenses must be confirmed for each employee that requires a license. If the background checks are satisfactory, and each employee has a 3-star rating or better, employees will show up as Google Screened. Not only will they show up, but these listings currently supersede every other advertisement available on Google – you will be at the very top of the list.
Here’s an example of what this would look like, starring Gracie:

One might ask why a photography company is posting about this. Well, because in the Google Screened bar, as you can see above, is your headshot. If you want to see more, try Googling the following: “real estate agent Austin TX” and you will find a few examples of exactly why I am concerned. The headshots as they show up in the results look quite bad. They either have backgrounds that are not complimentary to the listing (should be white or grey in such small resolution), or they are some artsy stylistic shot where the subject is off-center, which for this purpose looks terrible.
Skill Capture Media is one of the first companies in the Tampa Bay area taking photos and editing them specifically to provide you with a Google Screened compatible headshot (as well as a high-resolution headshot for your company page and business card). Don’t wait until this goes live to decide to find a quality, professional photography service to meet the needs of this new listing. The last thing you want as a professional real estate agent is to be skipped over because your portrait looks unprofessional. We encourage you to reach out today to schedule your appointment.
